Hand-picked and Hand-pressed
In southern Lebanon, the signature red fruits illuminate every corner. No wonder the pomegranate enjoys a special place in Lebanese cuisine. Our pomegranates are collected in the south and processed into pomegranate sauce in a suburb of Beirut. Here, a long-established family has been making pure pomegranate sauce for years.
Once our pomegranates are harvested, all the women from the neighborhood are gathered together. The pomegranate heroines peel, pit, press and cook tirelessly and full of passion. In the end, what remains is pomegranate sauce in its purest form. Without preservatives, flavor enhancers or sweeteners.
Taste
Comparable to balsamic vinegar, but much more fruity and lemony. A small amount is enough to add an extra sweet and sour note to any dish.
Food Pairing
In salad dressings and marinades or over sorbet and in cocktails? Pomegranate sauce can be used in a multitude of ways and lends dishes and drinks both a ruby-red accent as well as a depth of flavor and a distinctive oriental touch.
Storage
Ideally, store in a dry place and protected from direct sunlight.
